Mitali Jariwala's jewellery collection is just right for winter

Mitali's collection is characterised by the use of pastel colours in combination with white.
IF YOU have a passion for contemporary jewellery, check out the exhibition by Tijori. This is a collection in sterling silver and is sure to take your breath away with the amazing choice of designs and colours on offer. Each piece has a high polish, non-tarnish finish to highlight the lustre and vitality of the Signity Stones from Switzerland.
"A rhodium polish has been given to impart a platinum finish and prevent the silver from turning black," says the designer of the collection, Mitali Jariwala.
She comes from a family which exports gold jewellery, but consciously chose to start on her own. A certified diamond graduate from The Gemological Institute of America, this talented young designer also hopes to launch her own diamond line by February next year.
The current exhibition includes full sets, rings, pendants, earrings, and bracelets. The collection is made from 92.5 per cent sterling silver and is priced between Rs. 450 and Rs. 8,000. "There is something for everyone as you will see both small studded pieces as well as the large chunky ones, " says Mitali.
Incidentally, there is an interesting version of pendants with delicate work done over the mother of pearl stone. You can also lay your hands on some pieces that combine mother of pearl and back onyx to create stunning contrasts.All the stones used are cubic zircons of a high quality. The speciality of this collection is the use of colour in combination with white to give a lively touch, according to Mitali. Mostly, you will find the use of pastel coloured stones in this collection. Also, the collection being released in winter, there are fewer neck pieces, long earrings, large rings and thick bracelets, considering that mostly people would be wearing high neck and full sleeves garments.
