Fruits and prune salad


Ingredients

Pineapple slices - 10
Green banana - 6
Prunes - 50 no
Lettuce heads - 15 no
For orange fruit dressing
Water - 50 ml
Cinnamon powder - 1 gm
Salt - a pinch
Sugar - 1 tsp
Cornstarch - 20 gms
Butter - 30 gms
Orange rind - 2 gms
Orange juice - 20 ml
Lemon Juice - 5 ml

Method

For dressing

1. Boil water.

2. Mix cinnamon powder,

salt, sugar and corn flour.

3. Add dry ingredients

gradually to boiling water. Stir continuously till it thickens.

4. Introduce butter, orange rind and fruit juices. Stir and cool.

For salad

1. Drain pineapple slices. Save juice for coating bananas.

2. Arrange lettuce on plate.

3. Place a slice of pineapple on each leaf and a prune in the centre.

4. Cut banana into ½-inch slices.

Dip into pineapple juice.

5. Arrange three to four banana slices on top of the pineapple.

6. Drizzle orange fruit dressing on top.
