Strong at 70-plus

The experiences of Savithri Vaithi, Umayal Ramanathan, Sundari Mani and Rajalakshmi Narayanan were awe-inspiring ("More meaning to life than ever", November 24). Age does not seem to matter to these women who are all seventy-plus. I am sure their dynamism, sense of social responsibility and youthful demeanour will inspire others to emulate them. As Savithri Vaithi said, "Activity is the tonic that keeps one young."
