Metro school montage

A fancy fete `Kids - 2004' was organised by the Public School, MVP Colony, recently. The kids had a gala time at the game and food stalls. The giant wheel and the magic and mimicry show were a big draw for the children and their parents alike.

The fete was inaugurated by Renu Bansal, wife of Vice Admiral O.P. Bansal, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command in presence of the school president, K.R. Prasad, and its correspondent, S. Vijaya Ravindra.

A health camp was organised by the Infant Jesus School, Thompson Street, for the benefit of its students recently.

According to the school's headmistress, Mabel Connor, the objective of the camp was to create awareness among the children about respiratory disorders and other chronic allergies that are caused by pollution.

The paediatrician, C. Venkata Rao, examined the students.

Peter Frederick Dass, a Std. VII pupil of Belmont School has been selected to represent the AP State Schools Hockey team. The games will be held in Ludhiana (Punjab) from December 18 and 23.

Sherwood School conducted fun-filled competitions on the school premises at Kirlampudi Layout recently.

The games included `going shopping', `balloon busters' and `pick me up', which were targetted at children in the age group of 2 to 12 years.

Juliet Tiwari, wife of Rear Admiral Ajit Tiwari, the Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Shipyard Ltd., participated as chief guest. Geeta Williams, wife of Rolland Williams, the Director of Merrilyn Shipping Transport was the guest of honour.
