Yoga programme
YOGA IS one of the most quoted words across the world today. From athletes to musicians, from corporate executives to medical professionals, everybody seems to be talking yoga. As more people turn towards yoga, questions and misconceptions about this ancient system of holistic health also abound.
To answer some questions and to highlight the vast potential of yoga, the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram is presenting a Yoga Awareness Day programme on December 25, 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. The focus of this one-day programme is to generate awareness about yoga and its relevance in today's lifestyle and also to facilitate a forum for interaction and discussion. The event will also explore the broad-based teachings of yoga, the application of yoga in the process of healing, how and why yoga works for the individual, the life and philosophy of T. Krishnamacharya and the activities of the mandiram. On the agenda are technical presentations, screening of films on yoga and an open-house for discussion. Participation is free and open to one and all. Registration is one a first-come-first-served basis as seats are limited. The event will be conducted at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, 31, Fourh Cross Street, R.K. Nagar. Call 24620101 for registration.
