Fun and frolic

EARLIER THE trend was for anchors, invariably journalists, to interview celebrities. But the rule of the game seems to have changed now, as many channels have celebrities interviewing celebrities. And what's more, a lot of uncomfortable questions are thrown in to make the programme lively. A new breed of Page 3 celebs have hopped on to the chat show bandwagon. There's "Koffee with Karan" where Karan Johar interviews two top-of-the-line Bollywood stars. Another such chat show is "Powerr trip with Sobhaa De" on Sahara One. Then there are long running shows such as "Carry on Shekhar" on SaB TV, "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai" hosted by Farooque Shaikh on Zee TV and, of course, "Rendezvous with Simi Garewal" on STAR Plus. And more Page 3 celebrities are planning to host chat shows.
