GULF TERRITORY was mesmerised by southern tinsel glamour last week. The "Dileep Virus" struck them at short notice. The NRIs from God's Own Country could not have asked for more. The clouds tried to play havoc a couple of hours before the show by an impulsive downpour, but Nature relented. Rain or shine Al Wasl Stadium in Dubai was filled with ardent fans throwing the challenge back on the weather.
. Since the programme was directed by director Siddique, humour was the key component everybody was anticipating, and they were not disillusioned. The comedy timing was perfectly maintained by Dileep, Kalabhavan Mani, Salim
Kumar, Harishree Ashokan, Bindu Panicker etc. There were several skits with interludes of songs and dances.
To add melody to the chilly open air night was Jyothsna, Shalini, Nadir Shah, Vijay etc engrossing and entertaining the crowd to foot tapping famous Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi songs. The dance sequence by Rambha, Vineeth, Indraja, Navya Nayar, Swetha Menon, Meenakshi etc, glued the
Audience to their chairs. The crowds in full measure appreciated the brilliance of the choreography.
It was a two-day tour of the UAE, on December16, the performance was in Abu Dhabi and on the 17th in Dubai.
