Kathal clicks!

IT IS quite often proved that only newcomers can make a love story convincing on screen. "Kathal", produced by Shankar and directed by Balaji Sakthivel, is an earthy love story about triumph in tragedy and has taken a 97 per cent opening in Chennai. The movie features Bharath in a romantic hero role opposite a new girl Sandhya and a host of talented newcomers, handpicked by the director, in supporting roles. The story, set in Madurai, is about a rich girl falling in love with a mechanic and eloping, with her father's henchmen hot on their heels that leads to a tragic twist.
