Ballet recital

THIS CHRISTMAS, Mangaloreans will be treated to a special ballet on Christ, Yesu Christa Kathamala, enacted by a theatrical ensemble of 60 artistes from the city.

"This special feature will delight Mangaloreans," says director and producer, Vidwan U.K. Praveen. His troupe has performed 11 times on earlier occasions and each time it has received standing ovation from the audience.

This time Praveen says the resurrection part has been added to the Kathamala, which has been scripted to the tiniest detail. The dramatisation of Christ's appearance on Galilee after resurrection and his interview to Maria has been added along with additional music and dialogues.

This ballet is being enacted on the evening of Christmas day as a part of the Karavali Utsav. Thanks to the organisers, the stage at Mangala stadium has been built to generous proportions as there will be a certain time in the ballet when all 60 artistes will be on stage.
