SHOW MERCY, DON'T KILL

Noble cause

The plea of young chess player Venkatesh to advance his death because of terminal illness. But, there is a noble cause behind his request. Venkatesh wanted to donate his organs so that he would be able to save a fewlives. However, he died before his wish was fulfilled. This should serve as an eyeopener for all right-thinking citizens. Venkatesh should have been granted his wish. The laws are only meant to improve the quality of life. There is always scope to change laws so as to help people suffering from diseases. In our country, lakhs of patients are suffering due to lack of organs for transplantation. This should be borne in mind by the government.

T.V. Ranadheer, Gowtham Degree College
