Just great

The Take Two featuring Bharatanatyam danseuse Padma Subrahmanyam and Carnatic vocalist Bombay Jayashri (December 7) was great. When reading about Padma complimenting the neckpiece Jayashri was wearing that day to match her sari, I was reminded of the Tamil adage `All pathi aadai pathi' meaning `clothes maketh the man'. Subramania Bharati in his "Puthiya Athichoodi" says `Roopam chemmai sei' meaning `Make yourself beautiful'. Padma's observation that there is divinity in beauty has the stamp of poet Keats who says in one of his couplets, `Truth is beauty and beauty is truth'.
