Desire and duty

AFTER A disaster called Yaadein, which most people prefer to forget, Subhash Ghai returns with Kisna, a period love story.

It is the tumultuous thirties and flavour of the season Vivek Oberoi plays Kisna an idealistic lad who falls in love with Katherine, a British girl he saves from a mob of nationalists. Katherine is the daughter of the evil collector and Isha Sharvani plays Laxmi who is engaged to Kisna. With music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar, it remains to be seen if the film will be another Taal.

Decoding Da Vinci

JERRY BRUCKHEIMER teams up with Nicholas Cage for a treasure hunt that will have conspiracy theorists turning cartwheels with glee. Directed by Jon Turteltaub, Cage plays Benjamin Franklin Gates, a third generation treasure hunter on the look out for a secret 2000 years in the making. With the Declaration of Independence and the dollar bill standing in for vital clues, and Sean Bean playing villain again, National Treasure promises to be one hell of a ride.
