Shahi tukda navabi


Ingredients

For rabdi

Milk - 1 ltr

Sugar - 50 gms
Green cardamom powder - 1 gm
Saffron - a few strands
For shahi tukda
Almonds - 10 gms
Pistachio - 10 gms
Milk - 1/2 ltr
Green cardamom powder - 2 gms
Saffron - a few strands
Sugar - 50 gms
Milk bread slices - 4
Ghee - 100 gms

Method

For Rabdi

1. Heat milk till it reduces to one third.

2. Stir in the sugar, cardamom powder and saffron. Remove and cool.

For tukda

1. Heat milk to a boil, add cardamom powder and saffron. Remove from heat and mix sugar and keep aside.

2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry bread slices. Remove and allow it to dry .

3. Immerse the fried bread slices in the prepared milk for 15 minutes. Remove and keep aside.

4. Carefully lift bread sticks and place on a serving platter.

5. Pour the rabdi on top and garnish with almonds and pistachios and strands of saffron.

6. Serve chilled.
