Black is red hot!
IN A recent Internet poll of "The most awaited movie of 2005", Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Black" topped with 66 per cent listing it as their hot favourite. Andthe stars to watch out for are the lead pair Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee. Says Amitabh: "`Black' is my best film. It is exceptional and Rani is spontaneous. Everything, from the background score by Monty to the cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran, is beyond anything seen in our cinema."
Sanjay Leela Bhansali says, "`Black' is a film about faith, fight and triumph. The film has Rani playing a blind, deaf and mute girl Michelle, loosely modelled on Helen Keller. The story revolves around Michelle and her teacher and her struggle to break out of her limitations and realise her dreams. It is about two ordinary people who make an extraordinary effort at life." Sanjay also clarifies that contrary to rumours, "It is not a dark and depressing film. Instead "Black" is uplifting." The 122-minute film has no songs.
