New horror show

VIJAY TV'S new programme, "Kathu Karuppu" (Monday to Thursday at 10.30 p.m.) shows horror stories based on beliefs and superstitions. The serial opened with good TRP ratings. Karthikeyan (remember the sutradhar of "Annamalai") narrates each story in a gripping way. "Kathu Karuppu" is a rip- off of HBO's most popular series "Tales of the Crypt" (1989- 1996), which was a one-hour show based on EC horror comics of the 1940s and the 1950s. The Vijay TV serial is slickly made and is sure to send chill up your spine. which means the TRP's are bound to go up.
