No kidding around this

Political games

Yes, some of the political leaders in Bihar are concerned about the spurt in kidnap of children across the State. But, it is not due to their genuine concern for the trauma it caused to the victim's relatives, but because of the clouds of suspicion hovering over their political survival in the elections.

In the case of Bihar kidnappings, the local politicians apparently fell flat on their face as the series of abductions triggered the panic leading to a public outcry and children taking to the street. A huge demonstration in front of the Raj Bhawan was a major couse of concern which was amply conveyed by none other than the President, Abdul Kalam.

The latter reportedly remained in constant touch with the officials of the Bihar State keeping them under tremendous pressure.

No political party in that State is concerned about public welfare.
