The old anew

TGI FRIDAY has come up with a new cuisine offering a wide range of low calorie favourites ranging from salads, pastas and noodles to pizzas and burgers.

Set up in Delhi in 1996 under the umbrella of Bristo Hospitality Private Limited, the restaurant had its first branch in Vasant Vihar. Since then it has been a popular haunt. TGI Friday revises its menu every few months after considering customer tastes.

Recently the restaurant re-launched its old menu that was popular nine years ago. Associate General Manager Amit Juneja informs, "Our old costumers wanted some of the old popular flavours back, so apart from launching 28 new dishes we have re-introduced a few dishes that were popular with us in 1996."

A few items that have been added to the menu are Margarite veg fajitas, enchiladas, nasi goring and spicy stir-fried noodles. Among the cocktails are Scarlet O'Hara and strawberry decathlon, while Los Angeles banana berry and others have been added to the mocktail list, and warm apple crisp and red and white strawberry shortcakes among the desserts.

Dιcor with a difference is a typical feature of TGI Friday outlets. Tiffany lamps, red and white stripes, the racing scull suspended from the ceiling and trendy music form an integral part of TGIs all over.

So, if you want to check out the new and the old in the TGI nearest you, you can always step into an outlet at Connaught Place, Vasant Vihar or Gurgaon.
