The great grouse

Stop moaning! But that's easier said than practised. Is it possible to live without complaining? In fact, most us often end up starting the day with some grouse or the other. Doctors often say that its is best to get it out of your system. But how many have the time to listen to someone moan or how many can afford a psychologist who will lend a patient ear? Here is where the Internet promises to be the saviour. Blogs, forums and complainathons (where people actually win prizes for the best complaint) offer people the space to let off some steam. But what are the most common complaints of the students of our city ? Anand Sankar conducts a mini complainathon (sans prizes!) to find out.

Some crib that we have forgotten to speak face-to-face as mobiles now rule our lives.

Drivers in the city are crazy. It takes me 45 minutes to get to college. People just cut across lanes and abuse each other silly. It is very sad and irritating.

Joe

Hike in petrol prices is very annoying. I have to spend most of my allowance on just petrol. Why can't we have cheaper petrol? Petrol is the costliest in Bangalore.

Sapna

Pollution, corruption, and population are my biggest complaints as of now. Especially the population. Everywhere I turn I see people, not even girls only guys!

Shashank

There are lots of communication gaps between people. We are now dependent more and more on electronic means of communication like phones, email, SMS etc. People must talk face-to-face more.

Sadhana

Lack of abnormal things! Things are very normal here. There are no haunted places or shops where cult stuff is sold. Why can't we have a place that teaches witchcraft?

Archana

Too much to do and too little time. It is so tough nowadays. How much ever you are organised, you don't have enough time. Even the scientists are saying that days are going to get shorter, so that doesn't help.

Saranya

How can colleges impose a dress code on us? Don't we have the right to freedom of expression? If we protest the college just tells us to take a running jump. We don't have a choice.

Nivedita

Traffic is my biggest problem. I travel 30 kilometers on my bike every day. Every minute of that is a nightmare. Bangalore rocks in every sense but the traffic is just too much.

Benny

Auto wallahs are the ones that annoy me the most. Hell we pay them to go where we want to go and not where they want to go. And nobody is able to do anything about this. It is very irritating.

Santhosh
