Still the same Sachu

I was delighted to read about Sachu "Such versatility" (March 17). My friendship with her began in 1967 when I first met her at a dance programme at Pennadam Aruna Sugars. She visited my home at Vriddhachalam. Now for the past 35 years, I have been in Chennai, and she is still the same Sachu. Her fame sits lightly on her shoulders. May God bless her for her simplicity, humility and commitment to the family.

Booklet form

I have been a regular reader of the Road Less Travelled column. The writer takes the readers along with him/her to the places he/she is visiting. This column is so interesting that I suggest it is worthwhile to compile these episodes annually and bring them out in a booklet form. This booklet will be useful to the Tourism Department (they can devise plans to develop these places and generate interest among tourists), tour operators (it will be a welcome change to include one or two of these places in their existing itinerary), local auto/taxi operators (who can take people to the tourist spots without much difficulty), enthusiastic travellers (who can feed their lust for new adventures by venturing out to such places) and arm chair tourists (who visualise and enjoy without actually visiting such places).

Striking similarity

This is with reference to the article "The superstar genre" (March 7). One striking similarity between superstar Rajnikant and action hero Vijay is that both are men of few words off the screen. They also have a unique style.

More details

I liked the way "People's Princess" on Princess Salima Agha Khan was written. But sadly, it's only the surface of this woman of substance. Wish you carried more details.

Interesting club

I was really happy to read the article "Off the beaten track" (March 16). It's amazing how a small group of people have nurtured their interest in the Railways without much ado. Thanks to the Metroplus for highlighting the activities of such offbeat clubs.

Two cheers

Chatty and racy. That's how I would like to describe the Take Two column. It's exciting to read the way two celebrities make conversation on various topics relating to their lives and careers. Two cheers to Metroplus.
