Youthful look

THOSE WHO saw rushes of Rajnikanth's "Chandramukhi" can't stop talking about the superstar's youthful look and radiant smile. What is the secret behind Rajnikanth's looks? Says director Vasu: "I wanted Rajni to look the same as he did in "Mannan", and hence he started eating three full meals a day with a lot of leafy vegetables. He did workouts and stopped smoking. In three months' time, he regained that vibrant look." Later Vasu used file pictures of the actor to get the hair weave for the wig done in London. Adds Vasu: "Now I can see the sparkle of youth in him and the audience will love him, especially in the kite song sequence, where he has Jyothika and Nayantara for company." Vasu also feels the Rajni charisma still works at the box-office and points out that the "Chandramukhi" audio sale is a proof that he still is the biggest draw among all heroes in Tamil films.
