Wave away the heat



Have a splash at Fun N Food Village's Water Park.

WAVE POOL, family raft ride, body slides, lazy river and a play area for children. There is so much to explore at Fun-N-Food Village, Delhi-Gurgaon Road, Kapashera. Spread across 10 acres of land, the park hosts thrill rides such as the twister speed slide and adult tube slides besides The Amusement Park for all.

Having opened with a new look for summers, Balwant Chawla, Managing Director, Fun-N-Food Village says, "The change was a necessity to bring something new every time for its guests. We have to be responsive to the needs of the guests."

Though not facing the competition in the market yet Balwant believes, "If you don't give the best to your guests you can't survive long. So we keep on coming with new exciting ideas every year.We have a growth rate of 90 per cent in terms of revenue and people."

For seeking relief from the scorching heat, one can find `kabanas', a small shelter or a private place for the family to relax and enjoy in addition with `Thai foot message'. For the less adventurous, Fun-N-Food large wave pool and lazy river offer a more relaxing experience. However, the rain dance competition with live performances by international dancers completes the water thrill.

Forshopping freaksa shopping carnival will be held for two months starting this May, where one can buy all the household things besides Chinese baby toys, gifts, curios, gizmos and artefacts, etc. Even religion finds place here. A mini Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra will be brought alive soon. Informs Balwant, "Over the thousand feet long theme mountain walk, a team of artisans will create a mini yatra. People will experience the real Vaishno Devi yatra here."

He adds, "India is a tourist-friendly state and many people who do not get a chance to visit the holy places can get an opportunity to explore the same on this yatra. And like this we will keep coming with different themes on yatras. This is an edutainment experience for the people where the cultural aspect would be brought about in an illustrative manner in a controlled and safe environment."

Food lovers can go for their choice of cuisineas it has a number of restaurants. . And to savour the experience of resto-bar one can go to their newly opened multi-cuisine restaurant Sarovar. Says Balwant, "We are also offering ethnic mocktails like aam panna, lassi and chhaj, etc. as our park is based on the theme of village. One will find 26 ranges in our mocktails from across India."
