Beat the heat

An energy drink with a long shelf life has just hit Delhi

When the cola war is on and most of the bigwigs of Bollywood and cricket fraternity are endorsing one drink or the other, there are those who want to make a mark by launching an energy drink. Full Power energy drink, a joint venture of Fullpower Energy Drinks and Bachler Powerdrinks Keg, Austria was recently launched in the Indian market. Targeting the 18-30 age group facing mental and physical stress, this is one of the many products that the company has planned to launch in India.

FullPower, a non-alcoholic energy drink is developed to overcome tiredness quickly. "We wanted to launch a product which is all-in-one and thus more convenient. After FullPower, you don't have to take different pills or syrups for vitamins, iron and energy," tells Ingrid Zaissenberger, Chairperson, India Operations. The combination of spring water from the Austrian Alps and high quality ingredients are claimed to make it an effective, tasteful and refreshing energy drink. "FullPower is a carbonated energy support drink which stimulates body and mind, improves power, increases levels of concentration, reaction speed and vigour," she maintains.

Meant to be served chilled, the main ingredients of FullPower are taurine, caffeine and vitamins. "Taurine is an amino acid which influences our carbohydrate metabolism and is responsible for the production of energy. Caffeine improves mental stamina," informs Ajay Hasija, an official of the energy drink.
