Tinsel Talk

Lucky girl

Ayesha Takia seems to be pretty lucky. She is tipped as Pawan Kalyan's co-star in Bangaram. There has been a lot of speculation about who would be the leading lady as the shooting of the film was also delayed considerably though producer A.M. Ratnam says the shooting was stalled for other reasons, like script. Ayesha was first spotted by Nagarjuna for his film being directed by Puri Jagannath. The film to be produced by Sri Surya Movies, which gave several hits, will go on floors soon. Dharani who gave some hits like Dhool and Gilli in Tamil will wield the megaphone. The film comes with a caption "24 carat action."

Inspiring uncle(s)

Pawan Kalyan is the role model for Allu Arjun though he admires his uncle Chiranjeevi for his discipline and hard work. Like Pawan, he too believes in doing one movie a year, "because it is important to give one hit a year than giving several duds. One flop and you are written off by the industry. So one has to be careful with the career. Pawan Kalyan is my inspiration in this respect," he adds.

Rimmi on cloud nine

Geetha Arts has chosen the Dhoom girl Rimmi Sen to co-star none other than megastar Chiranjeevi in their forthcoming film. Rumours were thick that Dia Mirza would do the role and even Chiru hintedthis when he said that talks were on.Rimmi, however, seems to be the lucky one. This film has Chiru in dual roles as father and son with Tabu being paired with the senior Chiru. Rimmi is maha thrilled at the turn of events. "Beginning a career in Telugu films with the megastar is no mean achievement and I will give my best," she gushes.

Shekhar joins big league

Shekhar Kammula who joins the big league with his forthcoming film for SSC Arts has chosen Madhavan as the hero, while the leading lady is the homely Sneha. Shekhar who is finicky about minute detail has the script ready and the film will roll out soon. SSC Arts gave the super hit Tholiprema starring Pawan Kalyan and the expectations are high on this film.

In her forerunners' footsteps

The current `fair-n-lovely' girl Tammanna is the heroine opposite Manoj Kumar in Laksmi Prasanna's next film. Mohnababu is producing the film, while Dasarath will wield the megaphone. She is treading the path of her forerunner Trisha and Geneliya who were also models for this product. Hope she will be as lucky as these two girls.
