Landing Stage is holding a workshop, Pushing Boundaries for youngsters

Landing Stage, a youth theatre group, is organising a two-week summer workshop from May 10 to 24. Titled "Pushing Boundaries", the workshop is for youngsters aged between 13 and 19.
At Pushing Boundaries, the name of the game is creative dramatics which helps participants learn to engage their body and voice effectively, to look at the world through the eyes of a child where everything is waiting to be explored.
Landing Stage is an initiative of Masquerade - The Performance Group. At LS, one has the chance to discover his/her creative energies doing theatre in any area possible — from backstage to learning administration/management operations of theatre process, or designing sets, dabbling with lighting essentials, acoustics, etc. If one is a writer, he/she can get the group try out staging your work at workshop situations. Landing Stage produces two theatre performances a year — one consequent to the summer workshop, which is experimental in nature; the second is a pre-Christmas winter production predominantly aimed at children. The productions are directed by two artistic directors at LS — Aruna Ganesh Ram and Manasi Subramaniam. The technical director is Mukund V.
The workshop requires participants to wear casual stretchable clothing — jeans or denims are not permitted. The number of participants is restricted to 24. The sessions will run for three and a half hours a day for a total of two weeks, excluding Sundays, 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
