Food and fashion are a hard-to-beat combination.
That's what you're going to see plenty of at `Taste of India', a food festival and fashion show to be organised by the Coimbatore Metropolitan Round Table 62 at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Proceeds from the programme, to be held at Hotel Surya International, Race Course, will go towards construction of a school building at Kulathupalayam Village as part of the Round Table's "Freedom through Education" project.
The evening will showcase food and clothes that are in tune with Indian culture.
The food fest will feature a spread of 100 dishes across various cuisines. The fashion show is being put together by Disoni Troop.
Coimbatore Metropolitan Round Table 62 has, in the past five years, contributed Rs. 40 lakh for construction of classroom blocks at Anaikatti Tribal school and the Government High School in Sundakamuthur.
