Caring for children
Education is the birthright of every child. Yet, for every child who enjoys that right, there are a hundred others who are denied it. The causes are many and economics often forms the basis of many of them.
This is where the Children Foundation steps in to do its bit.
The Foundation, set up by Lekshmy Rajeev in 2003, distributes scholarships to financially weak students. (Lekshmy is a poet who writes in English and Malayalam.)
The Foundation identifies academically bright, but economically backward students and helps them achieve their full potential.
Selection is made at the secondary school level and the Foundation undertakes the education of the child right up to his/her college level.
