|

WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE: A style of her own
She started dancing at the age of four, gave her first performance at age seven, presented a programme on dance that was Doordarshan's entry into the Blue Danube festival in Europe. She runs a successful dance institute in Bangalore, Sanchari.
Vani Ganapathy, apart from being a brilliant dancer and successful interior designer, is the very personification of style. She shares her style mantra with MetroPlus
Adaptability : I am equally comfortable with the modern as well as the traditional.
Food : Give me a traditional South Indian meal served on a plantain as we sit on the floor or a continental banquet with different cutlery for each course and I am perfectly at home.
Clothes: A western evening gown or a Kancheevaram sari - make me feel equally beautiful.
Make up: Bindi, kajal - The works or a totally natural look with skin tones both work for me.
Colour: If an evening calls for black and white formals I go with that or I work out a look with our bright Indian colours.
Interiors: I prefer an eclectic blend of ethnic antique Indian furniture and modern chromium and steel.
