It is too hot to think right? So the best thing to do is to retire into the shade with one of these super chilled drinks with seasonal fruits and easily available ingredients.
TANGY WATERMELON DRINK
Ingredients
Watermelon (deseeded and finely chopped) 10 cups
Ginger juice 3 tbsp
Limejuice 3 tbsp
Sugar 4-6 tbsp
Black salt 1 tsp
Pepper (optional) Half teaspoon
Crushed ice
Method
Put the watermelon in a mixer and blend it to get a thick puree. Strain to get the juice. Mix the ginger juice and limejuice along with the sugar. Add a bit of water so that the sugar dissolves. Strain this mixture. Add it to the watermelon juice. Add black salt and black pepper powder and the crushed ice. Serve chilled.
SUMMER COOLER
Ingredients
Crushed ice A quarter glass
Pineapple juice 2 portions
Orange juice 2 portions
Mango juice 2 portions
Lemon juice 1 portion
For garnishing
A sprig of mint
A finely sliced lime
Cherry 1
Method
Take a cocktail glass. Fill one-fourth of the glass with crushed ice. Pour the orange juice over it. Then pour the pineapple juice over it. Add in the mango juice and finally the lemon juice. Shake vigorously using a stirrer. Serve garnished with a sprig of mint. Put the lime piece and cherry on the rim of the glass. Serve with a stirrer.
