Bollywood hunting

The National Geographic Channel (NGC) has gone for a total redesign to commission and acquire more local content and showcase its traditional strengths in a new format. As part of its new-look approach, the channel has tied up with Karan Johar to showcase his Kaal, a film set in the Jim Corbett National Park.

NGC will bring to viewers a bouquet of programmes hosted by the hot and happening John Abraham, Lara Dutta and Vivek Oberoi — Deep Jungle and Last Man Eater under the tagline Kaal Special. This is NGC's foray into Bollywood and Kaal fits the profile of the channel, as it has a wildlife backdrop, and John Abraham actually plays a National Geographic researcher in the film!
