It seems the Olive Bar & Kitchen is determined to make its customers develop an ear for music. After making them dance to the tunes of French disk jockey Le Tone, this time it had not one or two, but three deejays battling for the title of Radio Cairo.
The competition, which kicked off in February, yielded three finalists in Deejays - Niel, Sanjay and Iggy. Acclaimed music director Sandeep Chowta along with Tanya Zaetta chose the sultan of swing as one disc jockey faced another to mix, cue, slip, cut and scratch to claim the crowd.Deejay Iggy emerged the winner with a booty of Rs.6,000 along with a pair of speakers from Musicson, while the runner up deejay Niel got Rs.60,000 in prize money.
"Mid-eastern music has come of age and is becoming very popular throughout the world. "As an extension to this thought, we hosted every Fridays, a competition of Delhi's finest DJs for three months and tonight we have got a winner," said AD Singh of Olive.
