Handlooms and handicrafts

Handicrafts, handlooms and jewellery vie for attention at the Rajasthan Exhibition - 2005 on at C. P. Art Centre, Eldams Road, Alwarpet.

Black metal craft, plaques, Saharanpur wood carvings, Rajasthani paintings, palm leaf engravings, dhokra work artefacts, lamps, candle stands, meenakari tables, walnut furniture from Kashmir, jewellery studded with precious and semi precious stones, gold plated earrings, silver chokers and bracelets are on display.

As for the handlooms, there are chanyacholi, mirrorwork tops, skirts, chikan work suits and material, Orissa saris, Pashmina shawls, Jaipur bedsheets and carpets. The exhibition is on till May 14, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
