`Vasundhara' reigns still

There is no dearth of the right kind of stuff being dished out for women on the channels. While saas-bahu squabbles spiked with humour seem to be on the wane in terms of popularity, the typical family drama woven around the different facets of a woman's life continue to draw a wide viewership.

The long reign of Vasundhara, the weekly serial on ETV goes to prove this point. Seeking to showcase the multi-faceted personality of a woman, it effectively laces the theme with appealing drama and just enough doses of tears and smiles.

Directed by C.V. Raman Babu, Vasundhara, telecast on weekends, has Prabhakar, Jahnavi, Kalpana, Narasimha Raju and others in the cast.
