Have a craving for seafood? Then surely the ongoing seafood fest at i-t-ALIA, on the premises of The Park, M.G. Road, should be your destination. The fest, which concludes on May 22, offers seafood from all the coastal regions of India.
Besides the regular squids, tiger prawns, oysters and crabs, the menu includes barracuda, reef cod, emperor and parrot fish. All these are cooked the Continental way.
If you are adventurous and like to discover new tastes, check out the fare the hotel offers. For starters, there are fresh oysters served with lemon, parsley, and extra virgin oil (a little alien to our palate that's used to fiery spices and pungent oils). But you could try the grilled scampi with sautéed potato and mushroom with pesto rosso.
If you are looking for familiar tastes, then the crabmeat risotto with chilli and coriander is a good choice. The fest offers a wide range of pastas with seafood as their main ingredient.
