The search is on... The hunt is on... Andhra Idol kaun?

The search for `Andhra Idol' has just begun. One Chance is Maa TV's star hunt that plans to cover the entire State in quest of talent. Dubbed first such endeavour on a Telugu channel, the show will be picking and providing platform for the best among aspirant singers, lyricists, composers and artistes.

The talent hunt will have eight preliminaries, four semi-finals, one final and a grand finale. Mono-acting, dancing, and skit performing are some of the test segments and the talent of young aspirants will be tested by a jury bench comprising the best of Telugu film industry.

Have talent? This could be an ideal launch vehicle for zooming into stardom for the channel promises to recommend finalists to the film industry for a chance.

New shows on Zee

While Pradeep is out to send viewers into a smile mode, Saraswathi Pradeep has taken up the women's cause. Both their productions have started telecast this week on Zee Telugu.

Zee Smile Sree is Pradeep's talent show that is to be telecast at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday and again at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The show will feature prominent comedy stars and also the budding talent keen on making you smile.

Tarunee Tarunam, Saraswathi Pradeep's magazine for women has started beaming this week and will be telecast from Monday to Saturday at 3 p.m. The show has been divided into four segments of Sogasu-Soyagam, Salaha, Living Style and Sphurthi.

Twisty tale soldiers on

Have you been following the twists and turns of the long and winding Yendamavulu on ETV? The serial with a host of actors and plentiful twists continues to be one of the top favourites in the social drama segment.
