"I'd love to work with senior heroes," says Trisha

Trisha's hassle-free attitude has made her the most sought-after heroine in the film industry. But is she becoming apprehensive over signing films with heroes in Tollywood?
The young star fends off rumours about her being sceptical to work with heroes twice her age, Trisha clarifies, "It is just a coincidence that I haven't done a film with a senior hero. So I guess it's a natural assumption. I work for 20 days in a month and I can't work under too much pressure. Initially when my films were doing well I was greedy, but now I've realised that it won't work that way. I have not worked with many artistes only because of non-availability of dates. Who would not want to work with such experienced and talented artistes? I will definitely take up a project that has a good script."
Is it a fact that almost every leading filmmaker and actor in the Telugu industry wants to work with her? "I think this happens to every person who is successful. It is just a phase. It feels so nice to hear such things and its all so encouraging. At the moment I am enjoying this phase and I hope it lasts long. It is flattering when filmmakers approach you for an appearance or for an `item number'. They feel I am lucky for them," says Trisha.
So, is she happy doing candyfloss movies? "I love doing commercial films. I came into this field very much aware of what my role and place in the industry would be. Lets face the fact that film business is male dominated. I would rather be a part of a mass film than enjoy my film run at the Cannes. And about my high remuneration, I think its time women got their due. It's unfair when heroes get a lump sum while the heroines have to settle for a pittance despite they being a major factor in the film's success."
But Trisha needn't fret about doing the routine singing-dancing roles only. K. Raghavendra Rao is giving her a change in image in his next project, right? Trisha throws more light. "I am playing a western character and a powerful one at that. It is a light film. He has a nice way of making a heroine look good. I did play a lot of traditional roles in the previous films, but in this film it's not the same. But that doesn't mean I will be prancing around in skirts and jeans. I have put in sincere effort and I strongly believe that when ever I put in a lot of effort the film has been successful. So I hope it holds good for these projects too."
