Classic adapted


"Parineeta — The married woman", produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by ad man Pradeep Sarkar, features Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and new girl Vidya Balan. It is an adaptation of the Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay classic. The story is set in the Calcutta of 1962. Saif, a budding musician, falls for Vidya, who is also wooed by Sanjay Dutt. The cast also has Raima Sen and Diya Mirza with Rekha making a special appearance in the jazzy song "Kaisi Peheli Hai Zindagani... " The songs are tuned by Shantanu Moitra.
