Director Catherine Hardwicke and Screenwriter Stacy Peralta narrate the legendary story of Z-Boys. Set in the 1970s, the story follows the brilliant young skateboarders raised in the mean streets of Dogtown, California. The rebellious rock for the OST is considered one of the best since Almost Famous, featuring new songs from Chicago's Rise Against and LA's punk band Social Distortion. The latter's Death or Glory cover is the OST's leading track, along with classics from Rod Stewart, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, David Bowie, Nazareth and more.
