OUT OF THE BOX

Get set for `Gold Rush'

Likhitha in `Today's Special'

After her daring forays into the adventure terrain with Sahasam Cheyara Dhimbaka, Udayabhanu is all set to come with a golden offer for women viewers. She will soon be hitting Zee Telugu with Gold Rush, which comes with a tag line of Nee Illu Bangaram Kaanu.

Being developed as a game show, the new production, for a change, does not demand great skill, talent or general awareness from participants. The show has about 25 women participants, with a parrot shortlisting them to six by picking names from a stack of cards.

The selected ones get engaged into a series of contests, including roulette and win gold in each round. At the end of five correct responses, a participant can walk home with a cool half-a-kg of gold and at the end of 10 queries, an assured 501 gold coins are what await you.

Given the popularity of Udayabhanu among women viewers and the offer of gold, the show appears set for a real successful run. The show is listed to begin telecast from July 25 and Udayabhanu will be on a road show covering Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vizag in the first week.

Recipe time

After incessant chat, quizzing and an occasional jig, Likhitha Kamini has now taken up the responsibility of bringing hot and tasty recipe into your living rooms. The young anchor who already boasts of an impressive track with a wide variety of shows on different channels is now busy stirring lip-smacking recipes on Maa TV.

Likhitha, who earlier won hearts with shows that also included portraying a dual role apart from bombarding viewers with queries in Q Time, is now given the role of presenting different cuisines and recipes. Though the show, like similar ones on other channels, has established a good viewership, Likhitha's anchoring surely comes across as a refreshing change for such concepts. Do catch up with the anchor in Today's Special and perhaps whip up some new recipes.
