Personal style vs. fashion trends

Mix and match

Personal style is more important than following a fashion trend. It makes life interesting too since if people were just dictated by fashion trends, everyone would look uniform. People should make fashion work for them.

I make my style by buying different pieces of an attire from different shops. For example, if I buy trousers from my store, I would pull out a T-shirt from an export surplus outlet and team it with expensive jewellery. I suggest one should not buy clothes from the same place. You can choose to add that extra colour and flare with a stole or a scarf. If you are keen on south Indian jewellery like jhumkas or those ruby-studded bangles, you can team it with faded jeans. My latest line of clothes has south Indian jewellery sewn onto the outfits.

People are not patient or confident enough to develop their own style. The ideal would be a fashionable person with loads of personal style.
