Neil Simon's dark comedy is on show over three weekends this month

Evam will be staging its play "Biloxi Blues", a classic Neil Simon comedy, over three weekends this month. Premiered at The MetroPlus Theatre Festival last month, the play is directed by Michael Muthu.
Biloxi Blues is a comedy about the story of six young men freshly recruited in the U.S. army and their growing up. The play is set in 1942 Biloxi Mississippi but the characters and story are universal striking an instant chord with the audience especially the youth. Highlights of the play are the lighting and set design.
The play will be staged on September 10, 11, 17 and 18. 7.15 p.m., at the Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium, Alwarpet, and on September 24 and 25, 7 15 p.m., at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Harrington Road, Chetpet. There will be matinee shows on September 11 and 18, 2 p.m., at the Sivagami Pethachi auditorium.
