EXHIBITION Raasi Art Foundation is holding its sixth annual show of paintings, Kalamkari and murals

Raasi Art Foundation is showcasing a collection of traditional South Indian paintings — Tanjore and Mysore paintings, Kalamkari and Kerala murals at its Sixth Annual Art Show. The paintings represent the classical art forms of the four southern States.

The exhibition-cum-sale at the Raasi Art Gallery is on till September 17, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The foundation is a non-profit organisation whose objective is to reorganise, nurture and develop traditional art forms in coordination with the Government, NGOs, cultural associations, art lovers and the public. Raasi encourages innovations in traditional art forms, without diluting their original value.

Purchases made from Raasi will contribute to the cause of rejuvenating ancient art and perpetuating it for posterity, as also to aid artists and art groups and institutions engaged in it.

The foundation is located at 1, Anna Avenue, Bakthavatsalam Nagar, Adyar.
