Celebrating Onam

Kerala Cultural Centre will organise Onam celebrations on September 25. A pookalam competition will be organised in the morning at Lorry Owner's Association.

This will be followed by a dance competition, onasadya and cultural events at R.S. Puram Kalaiarangam.

The Kairali Cultural Association will organise a procession on September 18 beginning at Jail Road.

Different traditions associated with Onam like Kumattikali, Pulikkali, Kolkali, Chingari melam and Theyyam will be performed.

The procession will end at VOC Park grounds and be followed by cultural events.
