Mitra organised several contests for physically challenged kids

A FUN-FILLED SHOW At the Disha programme

Disha, started by Aarthe, Prathima, Shruti and Sukanya, four students of M. O. P. Vaishnav College, held its first variety entertainment programme at the Little Flower Convent, a school that supports physically challenged children, on September 10.

The team of four, who call themselves Mitra, started the initiative to ensure that underprivileged children too got to enjoy themselves for a day.

Rangoli, fancy dress, drawing, recitation, hair dressing and dancing competitions were organised. Mitra also screened children's movies and cartoons.

Director Vishnuvardhan inaugurated the event and planted a sapling in the premises. Bosskey, television personality, judged the recitation competition, Tusharaa, model, judged the off-stage events and Britto Academy of Dance devoted time for the children.
