TUCKING IN There's something for everyone

Here's something interesting for foodies. A Chinese food festival is on at Super Cook, Avanashi Road. Organised by Hotel Rathna Regent, the festival promises an enjoyable dining experience for food lovers.

In starters, you can choose from spicy mushroom pepper salt and vegetarian green chilly delicacies in the vegetarian section.

For non-veggies, there are chicken gold coin, prawn ball, mutton ball and chicken ball.

In soups, crabmeat soup (thick crab stock topped with egg drops) and chicken jade soup (chicken stock with palak paste) are available.

Variety fare

There are plenty of items to choose from in the noodles and rice section.

In the non-vegetarian menu, prawn-fried rice (cooked fresh prawns mixed with Basmati rice), Singapore fried rice with shredded chicken and Singapore sauce and Kimichi fried rice (fresh diced vegetables and chicken tossed in Basmati rice) are on offer.

For chicken lovers, there is chicken volcano, diced chicken cashew nut and kungpow chicken to pamper your taste buds.

Vegetarians can enjoy ginger fried rice tossed with chopped ginger and fresh vegetables.

This comes with vegetarian green chilly, a mixture of fried batter of mixed vegetables, green chillies and spices.

The Broccoli fried rice, flavoured with rice and boiled broccoli, goes well with mushroom pepper and salt.

For seafood lovers

In seafood, try Hunan fish, fish fingers fried in butter and served with spicy sauce, Phuket fish, flat fish coated with egg, deep fried and served with a spicy sauce, chilly fish and Szechwan fish

. Round off your Chinese food experience with rich dessert.

Choose from litchi with ice cream, date pancake with/without ice cream, toffee banana (slices of banana dipped in batter, deep-fried and coated with caramelised sugar), toffee apple and chilled pineapple.

An average meal for two will cost Rs. 300.

The festival is open for lunch and dinner (up to midnight) till September 25.
