The recently held Sicilian Food Festival at New Delhi's Radisson was a treat for the food lovers

After Mexican, Malaysian, Italian, it was the turn of the Sicilian cuisine that was laid out at Italiani restaurant of the Radisson Hotel.
Sicilian cuisine is an assortment of Mediterranean cuisines and "it is a blend of various cultures and has an extravagant taste. All the ingredients are imported to provide a different taste", said Chef Sreenivasan of the hotel which hosted the Sicilian food festival recently.
Among the starters, it had soups like Minestra di fagioli e lattuga, a combination of garlic and thyme flavoured red bean and lettuce soup, Ravioli di scamorza e carciofo con reduzione di porcini that is made of smoked mozzarella and artichoke filled ravioli in porcini reduction and many more.
After appetisers there were some wonderful offering slike Bruschetta tri Colore, bread topped with fresh tomato and basil layered with home-made pesto with cheese and garlic, Involtino di melanza alla trapanes, is made of sliced eggplant, stuffed with sundried tomatoes, pinenuts, breadcrumbs topped with fresh tomato sauce and pecorina cheese.
But this was not the end of this list, there were loads of other flavours also.
And in desserts on offer were Cannoli and Dolci, containing pastries with ricotta and chocolate chips.
