Of reading and favourites
Akkineni Nageswara Rao is an avid reader. After his morning walk, he starts off his day by reading newspapers, especiallyThe Hindu, which happens to be his favourite. He says that he got initiated into reading this newspaper by B.N. Reddy way back in 1946 and since then not a day passed by for him without reading the paper. He considers it as his guru, as he feels that it helped him learn a language, which was literally foreign to him.
Just three, once again
After Mogudu Pellam O Dongodu comes another film with just three characters. The film titled Vamsam has Chandramohan, Nagababu and Baladitya in the lead roles and to top it, there is no heroine in this film, yet the producers are quite confident that the film would click at the box-office as it has all the necessary `ingredients'. Sri K.S. Productions is producing the film while H. Madhusudhan wields the megaphone.
Watch out, Aarti
What a let down Aarti — from a top heroine to an item girl, that too so soon in her career! Her item song in Narasimhudu with NTR was not a flash in the pan, she has just completed another one Chatrapathi starring Prabhas. The film, which is almost complete and is ready for release has added an item song. The shooting of the song took five days with 20 junior artistes too shaking a leg with the duo. This apart, she is believed to have signed a film opposite comedian Sunil. Watch out Aarti before you get typecast as an item girl.
Sarathbabu steps into Bollywood
Character artiste Sarathbabu who has done more than 200 films in all South Indian languages will soon be seen on the Hindi screen too. The film titled Rakhi has Zayed Khan in the lead role. Sarathbabu will be supported by Smitha Jayakar. While more and more character artistes from Bollywood are making a beeline towards the South, it is heartening to note that an artiste from the South is stepping into Bollywood.
Devi out, Yuvan in
Devisri Prasad who's supposed to be a favourite of Geetha Arts is eased out of their camp. His name fails to figure in the list of the crew for their next film Happy starring Arjun. The new man to join the team is Yuvan Shankar Raja. Devi's music played a major role in Arya's success. However, he failed to recreate the magic for Bunny. This was expected as even megastar Chiranjeevi was unhappy with the score of Andhariwaadu and made no bones of it at a public function.
