Musical evening

The article `Rafi Saab and Kishore Da came calling' (November 03) brought back memories of the great hits of the 50s, 60s and 70s and of course "Binaca Geetmala" on Radio Ceylon.

The programme "Sunehri Yaadein" seems to have been an evening of magic and nostalgia. My only regret is that a lot of fans of old Hindi songs were unable to attend the programme due to the prohibitively expensive tickets.

Organisers should reduce ticket costs and make it possible for the middle class to enjoy such evenings as well.
