SWEET VICTORY The winners of the MAB Media Quiz-05 won cash and gifts worth Rs. 1.5 lakh
Media Association of Bangalore conducted its signature event, Media Quiz-05. Around 45 teams, i.e., over 300 people, consisting of media, advertising and marketing professionals, participated. Two teams from Madison, and one each from Lowe (Interaction), Times of India, Zee TV and Hindustan Time & Maxus combine reached the finals.
Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a. PickBrain, who has over 750 shows to his credit, was the Quiz Master. The answer of the day, as picked by PickBrain, was to the question: "What originated in 1903 because of a feud between two French newspapers, Le Velo and L'Auto-velo?" The answer was the Tour De France the cycling championship has a media history to its origin.
Interaction (from Lowe) won by a huge margin and walked away with the first prize, consisting of the MAB trophy and cash and gifts worth Rs. 1.5 lakh. The Hindustan Time & Maxus combine won the second prize worth Rs. 80,000 and Madison, the third prize worth Rs. 56,000. The audience rounds evoked tremendous enthusiasm as they too walked away with a whole lot of goodies. In a true festival spirit, Santa Claus appeared to hand over the gift bags to the winners.
The total value of prizes distributed by MAB was to the tune of Rs. 4 lakh. The event was sponsored by leading companies like CNBC, Nandi Infrastructure (NICE) Hindustan Times and Swati.
