SMART BOOKINGS Standing in queue waiting for the theatre counter to open is a thing of the past with PVR's Quicktixthrough PHOTO: K.R. DEEPAK
PVR Cinemas has recently launched three new ticket-buying options for customers who don't wish to stand in queue. With the launch of an innovation called Quicktixthrough, movie-goers can now purchase their tickets through an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service, the Touch Screen Kiosks at the PVR lobby or by logging on to the PVR website.
In IVR, Airtel and Hutch subscribers can call 505787 and buy tickets by giving the name of the movie, preferred show, number of seats and credit card details. The information is collected through voice responses with the help of voice recognition software, and one simply has to pick up the tickets at the theatre just before the show begins.
The kiosks in the PVR lobby provide a multimedia interface using graphics, video and audio that dispenses tickets without requiring an attendant. One can also pick up tickets booked online or through mobiles at these kiosks. You can also confirm ticket bookings and select your preferred seats on the website.
