Nizam's victory

HOCKEY WIZARDS The team that won OU's inter-college hockey tourney

Nizam college won Osmania University's inter college hockey title after a gap of 12 years when it defeated Pragathi Maha Vidyalaya degree college 3-1 in the final held in Hyderabad recently.

At half time Nizam college was leading 2-0. The goal scorers were Kanthi Kumar and Shiva. Later Venkat Koushik also scored for Nizam college while for Pragathi Maha Vidyalaya the scorer was Srikanth Reddy. After the match the chief guest Prof. Akbar Ali Khan, Principal, UCC and BM, Osmania university, gave away the shield and the individual prizes. The guest of honour was M.Venkateshwar Rao, Vice Principal, Nizam college. The tournament was organised by Satyanarayana, Head, Department of Physical Education, Nizam college.
